History
Welcome to Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church; the oldest Catholic parish in Minneapolis.  Click here for a complete history of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic parish.

Patron Saint
Saint Anthony of Padua was born in 1195 in Lisbon, Portugal.  Anthony's family wanted him to become a rich nobleman, but for the sake of Christ, he became a poor Franciscan priest.  A gifted speaker, he attracted crowds wherever he went.  Legend has it that even the fish loved to listen to him.  For more information on Saint Anthony of Padua, visit http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/sainta01.htm.

What's New at Saint Anthony of Padua

Holy Hour
Saturday's 7:30 AM
The weekend begins liturgically at St. Anthony's with a special time of prayer and reflection on Saturday morning.  A Holy Hour is scheduled at 7:30 AM every Saturday morning and includes the Rosary, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and concludes with Benediction.  For those who are seeking greater depth in their prayer life Eucharistic Adoration is a very important tool for opening up to the grace of God.

The Holy Hour is followed by a Marian Mass (with Gregorian Chant) at 8:30. This liturgy takes advantage of the wealth of opportunity for added solemnity in worship that are available in the liturgical regulations of the Catholic Church.  Go to the liturgy link to learn more about it Liturgy
